How Do You Sleep | Late Night Savior feat. Royal Bliss

Our fist pick is a cover tune by Late Night Savior, that features Neil Middleton and Taylor Richards of Royal Bliss. How do You Sleep is an Alt-Metal cover of Sam Smith’s. The band tells me there was a get together with “a bunch of metal musicians drinking whiskey and singing a bunch of pop songs.” Ultimately, they decided to record How do You Sleep. Sweet Nothing  |  Nick Johnson

We’ve had Sweet Nothing in the SPW queue for awhile now. You see, I had the opportunity to finally see Nick Johnson live—he opened for Spirit Machines at The Royal last week—so I figure it was time to share this one. I was as impressed with his live performance as I am with his studio work. Monster | Meg & Dia

Our next song pick comes from Meg & Dia, who have been at it for a decade and-a-half. After early success with tunes like Monster, signing with Warner Bros, and touring with bands like Dashboard Confessional—the two sisters decided to take a break. That was in 2012, but fear not: in 2018 they started writing and working together again, so stay tuned for updates in the near future.
